Welcome to a new growing community!

Dakota Acres.... a place I call home and the place where my garden began. Ten years ago I moved to Yellowhead County with a goal to simplify my life and get back to my roots. This included growing my own food, reducing food waste and learning how to preserve my harvest. 

There is no one way to grow a garden; so the sharing of idea's, success's and failures is how we all grow together as a community. 

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your hard work pay off in the form of delicious. nutritious food. 

At Dakota Acres it's not just about gardening, it's about how to use less, waste less and live sustainably. 

October of 2023 was an exciting year for us here on the acreage as we finally opened a storefront location in town called The Wildwood Trading Post. All my greenhouse product can be picked up there along with seeds from West Coast Seeds and so  many other wonderful and unique finds from the thrift store or one of our local Yellowehad County artisans.
